How to tie a lamb , pig , goat  on a spit Instructional Video


Before cooking

Mix in a bowl: Salt, pepper, oregano and apply generously inside and outside.


While cooking on rotisserie bbq

Mix in a bowl :Olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Apply with a brush every 20-30 min.

Optional :For pigs you can use a beer on outside while cooking instead of the spice mix. It will give it a beer flavour and make the skin very crispy.

Cooking times.

40 lbs lamb/pig about 5 hrs

80 lbs pig 6 hrs

Lamb leg rotisserie

In a bowl prepare olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and sweet paprika to taste.

Apply mix generously on everything.

Next put the lamb leg on the spit and/or chickens and insert forks on either side of chickens.Tie all chicken legs and wings with butcher string throughout and tie end of string to the forks on the ends.

Place spit and  meat on rotisserie bbq and turn on switch.

While cooking

In another bowl prepare the same mix without the paprika. Apply mix to chickens and /or lamb leg every 20 minutes .

Cooking time about 2-3 Hrs


Prime rib roast rotisserie

Prepare the following spices and mix.

Salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder .

Place mix on a parchment sheet and roll prime rib on it making sure its covered with the spice mix.

Next insert spit though the center of it making sure the weight is balanced.

Place prime rib with spit on bbq and turn motor on.

Cooking time  2-3 hrs depending on size and weather
